Here are just a few pictures of my weekend trip to Hallstadt. This place is a little lake side town with a population of 1000. The highlight of this trip was that i actually toched a real human skull. The reason they have this room full of skulls is that space is so limited that when the bodies in the graveyard are 10-20 years old they dig them up and bleach the skulls inthe sun. Then they paint them with the persons date of birth and death and other decorative symbols.
